These hosting requirements are designed to ensure consistency; however, it will be the responsibility for all host teams to optimise the experience for players and spectators at every game.
A host is required to: - secure a suitable venue (cognisant of surface, lighting, line marking, free zone, equipment, seating, safety, parking);
- provide quality, qualified officials including suitable lines-people (preferably four in a common uniform);
- provide at least two Mikasa match balls, official score sheets, rotation sheets, flags for lines-people, score board(s) and paddles (1-20);
- provide ice and first aid facilities;
- video the match (from the end of the court suitable for tournament statistics to be gathered);
- provide a PA and announcer for the game (optional);
- advertise the event as widely as possible;
- upload a post match report within an hour of completion; and
- send the results to the Tournament Director including the score sheet.
All game day takings (door, food, beverage, raffle, advertising etc.) will contribute to the host team's costs. The recommended entry fee is $5.
Player and spectator feedback mechanisms will be in place for every game. |
